I'm polyamorous and have two husbands. I read The General's Mistress and the rest of the numinous world series aloud to my younger, blond husband back in 2014 or thereabouts, which was after I'd already read the whole series myself. We then read The Emperor's Agent together around the time it came out. Reading the scenes with Michael and Elza is often quite wild. When we read them together, I was 24 and he was 31. It was just too uncanny. And he has called himself a Paladin for years, long before we ever met. Paladin is what I call him in my journal.
I met my older husband in 2015 and the three of us live together now. I've just finished reading The General's Mistress aloud to him. This for me, was my fourth time reading it. His reaction to the "numinous parts" was incredibly positive. "Wow, and I thought this was just erotica," he said to me. I smiled and said, "Would I have described it as my soul in a novel if it was just erotica?" He wasn't sure how to answer that, so he shrugged an said, "Keep reading."
I will start reading The Emperor's Agent to him today. I can buy The Marshal's Lover on Amazon and read it aloud from my computer, but because of how ebook security is tightening, I can't convert books I buy to my old nook, and I've heard so many horror stories about people losing their books when they've linked up their nook to the web that I really don't want to do that. So I thought I'd buy a physical copy right away, except that none seems to be out yet. Will there be a physical copy? If so, when?
