Let's talk about Jerry! Any thoughts on Jerry in Lost Things or Steel Blues? What you'd like to see happen? Where you think Jerry should go? What you love or hate about Jerry? Does he look like Peter Wingfield?

Well, eventually he will get a romance, though it's a bit star crossed! But that will be in Wind Raker, not Silver Bullet. In Silver Bullet he gets some action, but sadly not a real romance!

well, i know i'm a pest, but what i'd like to see happen in LifeBoat. maybe what you really need is a beta reader for the draft?

Some books just take longer than others! I'm sure Lifeboat will find a good home eventually. I'm glad you're excited about it! (We wrote it purely on spec, without a contract or an interested publisher, so that takes longer.)

I love Jerry. With *all* his flaws and his struggles. I definitely want to see him find some happiness and some way of continuing his work.

As much as I adore Peter W (reason I watched Highlander and several other series), I... didn't see that at all. Hmm...

I wasn't thinking Peter Wingfield when I wrote him, but I keep having people tell me that they see Jerry as Peter Wingfield. Since Melissa has a big Peter Wingfield thing, maybe it's her! :) It's just Peter Wingfield all the way down or something....

I love Jerry too. He will definitely find a way to continue his work, but romance is going to be difficult. There's definitely someone interesting coming his way in Wind Raker though.

That wasn't my original thought, but people keep telling me they see Jerry as Peter Wingfield.... I blame Melissa!

I can't see Peter Wingfield either, but that's because I have a different fannish actor firmly stuck in my head. :-) Peter Wingfield can't play everybody ...

Tsk. Being American and not English, an archaeologist and a WWI veteran, Jerry clearly tooks like Indiana Jones Harrison Ford, not like Peter Wingfield.

Hee! I wasn't thinking Peter Wingfield myself, but since Melissa is a huge PW fan I see how it could have happened.

There are definitely homages to my dear Indiana Jones, though. Jerry has the same alma mater, the University of Chicago, and there's one reference in there to his work with Dr. Ravenwood!
