Facebook and inlaws

A while ago I liked/posted/commented on something that had to do with supporting gay rights. This caused a lot of drama with my in-laws. My mother-in-law insisted that I was going to hell because of this. So I deleted my face book, then my sister-in-law discovered that I had a livejournal and wanted to add me. (as if I'd let that thing any where near my journal)
On top of that I had some lj communities in drama and I couldn't deal with it at all. I mean people who had been friends for years suddenly hated each other and it sucked.
I seriously had a panic attack and kind of broke down mentally. I was not in a good place.

What I learned is, 1) never assume someone isn't snooping 2) Facebook is always changing shit up, and even if you block someone from seeing something there are going to be ways they can see it anyways. And 3) never let someone take away something you like because they can't handle it.
Finally, even though it was hard I realized there was nothing I could do about the Internet drama, assholes will be assholes.

I am in a much better place now and I re-activated my Facebook and added most everyone back.
