If anyone wonders, I'm in Poland for Christmas. My agenda is as usual overloaded with meetings with family and friends, shopping and arranging 101 stuff. But it's good.
My dad was an awesome help. I don't have a car here anymore, since my brother didn't want to pay another insurance rate while he's not using it himself and sold it. For those of you who haven't been to Warsaw - public communication is not great, especially winter time, and distances between various places of interest are quite big. Thus, having my dad as my driver from time to time was just what I needed. Even more awesome was that he went with me shopping at one place. My dad _loves_ shopping. I just wanted to visit one store in this outlet center and leave but he convinced me to walk around a bit more and I ended up with new pair of jeans and a new gym outfit. :)
Every night so far I've been meeting with friends. Observation: all of my best friends are more rather than less happily married by now. It's really fantastic to watch them together with their partners. How they fit together, how they changed (for the better), how... cozy they are with each other (you know, kissing, sitting on their husband's knees, "honeying" each other etc). But then there was this one couple during the dinner on Friday (whom I know a bit less) who barely looked at each other, barely talked to each other. Can't imagine being stuck in a relationship like that. What for, anyways?
Oh yeah, got asked a number of times by now to show my hands... I can put a ring on one of them myself, but somehow I doubt that would shut these people up. :/
family,
