It's a weird feeling watching someone grow up so quickly. My little bambino is going to be 8 months old. Almost every day I get home from work and it'll look like he grew, which, in fact, he did. And every day he seems to do something new. He's been sitting up by himself for some time and he scoots along on his butt to try to get to something he wants. He reaches out for people to hold him and he likes playing with his feet. His new favorite thing to do is to sit by his toy box and just pick things out that he wants to play with, play with them and then move on to something else.
My little man...
Oh and a funny Elijah story:
This past weekend we went to the MD state fair, which is always fun. We took Elijah and he was like ooo and ahh (with his eyes). We took him over to see the animals and he was not impressed. Michael said it was because all the animals pretty much look the same - Fur with four legs. He was probably like "This is nothing new, we have one of those at home". The only thing he got excited about were the goats. He stared at the pigs for a while, watching the piglets running around. But do you know the one animal that scarred my son? A cow. A cute little cow... We were standing in front of the cow pen and he was looking at it, not impressed, then the cow lifted its head from eating and Elijah looked so scarred. He turned and hugged me and almost started crying. I thought it was the funniest thing. I know, I'm a bad mom...
Then later on in the evening Elijah played some games. He played all the baby/little kid games. He picked the ducks with the numbers on the bottom and boats with letters on the bottom and more ducks with letters on the bottom. He had more fun playing with the water, though, than he did picking which one he wanted.
That's all from me. I gots to get back to work.
