128 Scout - Days 49-54: A blur of days

This past week has kind of been a blur. Between getting back to work, coping with the remaining aspects of the poison ivy incident, and discovering at the last minute that my parents were going out of town for a couple weeks and expected me to house-and-cat-sit for them, I haven't accomplished a whole lot with the house. I did spend a few nights there (before being recalled to the parents' house to take care of things while they are away) and I've started moving some of my stuff over, but it's going to be small and slow steps until they return and I can spend more of my time at my own house getting moved in.

I did manage to get a few things done at the house today, but I'm still dealing with rashes left over from the poison ivy incident and trying not to irritate them to severely so I didn't do nearly as much as I would have liked to.  I mixed up 4 gallons of "ground clear" weed killer and sprayed as much of the brush at the back edge of the property as I could access. I also strategically sprayed around some of the tree trunks and other places in the yard where weeds are problematic.  I finally washed/scrubbed the tools that I had been using the other day when I got in the poison ivy, since I assume that if I got it on myself then I also got it on the tools. I then took a very soapy and scrubby shower to hopefully avoid the possibility of another outbreak.

I might try to get some more stuff done tomorrow, but my current rashes do not seem to be improving very quickly, so we'll just wait and see how things go and what I feel like I can get done without exacerbating the situation.
