Hip isnt particularly stylish, though it sometimes creates the effect. Hip is trying desperately hard to be cool; cool isnt giving a damn if your hip. Cool is the essence of style; its an attitude without attitude, the sophistication to never be surprised, the sensitivity to be able to be shocked. Style is making choices, taking chances, transcending the past and inventing the future...knowing that life is not always polished and perfect...
