For a year and a half my job was to finish development on a new product. I couldn't talk about it until recently.
Well, the product has been made public, so my NDA is no longer in effect, even if it hadn't expired for some other reason. (I never dug it out to check.)
It's a neat techno toy, though
Schulmerich wants to turn it into a teaching tool. It's an RF/electronic version of Schulmerich's MelodyChime® instruments. The latter is a tuned aluminum tube with an external clapper. And no, it's not cheap. Go
here and listen to one of the sound files. (See my recent entry where I was listening to Fleur de Lis.)
As I write this, the new device -- now officially called a MelodyWave -- does not yet show on Schulmerich's web site. However, Russ is probably working on that now, so check back once in a while. The device was demonstrated at the
NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA in January, though, and I did find
one review on the device, albeit a short one. (Scroll down until you see Melody Wave, not quite halfway down.)
After I found that site in Google, I realized that it was The Other Room... which is a friend of mine, Barry Wood. Figures the only review I can find for the product I developed would be by an old friend on the other end of the country. :)

Metaphysical Vertigo He's taken down the Edison Suit band page, but there's a bit of their music. Enjoy.
