Barge - Third Report

First impressions ain't always correct, of course, and one shouldn't judge a closed book, but there does seem to be the damnedest amount of insolence aboard this vessel, to say nothing of the violence against wardens. I'd like to know, is the 0 Level brig considered a great punishment? It don't seem altogether effective.

If there's insolence, then you must CRUSH it through force!

It's foolproof. (Unless the tyrant is a fool.)

Then I have never met the tyrant that wasn't, for there's always mutiny at the end of it somewhere.

Are you referring to my grand escape? If so, I will accept a direct confrontation over passive aggressive gossip.

My understanding was that you had graduated, not escaped, sir. And, no, I was not. If I had wanted to give a public insult, I should have done so.

I see. My apologies.

Though I do not wish to judge prematurely, perhaps you should be considering that the "insolence" of some could merely be the misinterpretation of their efforts. I am in raptures at the opportunities we have been granted here. I dare say you should not squander them without proper diligence.

I daresay I've misinterpreted a thing or two in my day, but such a lack of respect must be termed insolence under any circumstances. Have you seen a great improvement in your inmates, Miss Bennet?

I..

Yes, I had. There has only been one gentleman in my direct care and he left without proper notice. But I feel that I have been of aid to others and will continue to endeavor the greatest care for them.

There is great fear, great caution, great resolution somewhere. We are meant to posses an occupation which supports the latter while tempering the former.

Aye, my dear pirate companion, this is my second time in the brig and I have quite seriously learnt my lesson. I will ne'er maroon on the next patch o' desolate hell we see' a li'in' bein' again. Ye'll ne'er get me buried booty!

You strengthen my argument, sir! Have I done something to you?

Brig = really nasty, horrible place where people die of dysentary. itweresport January 29 2010, 09:45:30 UTC
Is there a brig, sir?

Remember you when last we spoke, and my guilt of any crime were called in to question! Am I awaitin' judgment, then, and will I be sent to such a cell?

There is, ma'am. But never worry! A man person can't be thrown into the brig without cause. Such a respectable young lady can be in no danger!
