7 Days Missing on someone's 50th week.

Mar 01, 2005 21:42

As many of you know I went home this past weekend to visit my father for his 50th birthday. Also, I mentioned the huge ridiculous party as well and probably invited you to it. Here it goes:

Tuesday February, 22nd:
- Had lunch with the lovely George, and Oliva. However, to our surprise Mr. Ryan E. was in the same facility as us at the same time and he brought a friend along to join us on our fantastic journey of topics of the unknown. Great times spent.
- Right afterwords, Mr. Ryan, friend, and I spent sometime playing Smash until his friend had to catch the bus to pick up his girlfriend. More great times spent.
- Time spent studying for my Biology Exam/Goofing around in the computers in the computer lab.
- Now for the class that brought the torture that should never be placed on mankind, the starting of the "Technology Abstinence" assignment. I had to give up 3 pieces of technology from a list until next class (Thursday). My choices was using my PDA, cell phone, and da duh da da.....VIDEO GAMES (Yes, it can be done, or at least I told myself this. I shall prove it now!!!).

It was not even 30 min after class that my roommate Jay invited me to play Smash with him, but I was able to calmly resist by beating my head on a wall and said "no" in a low whisper and went to my room. Where I tortured myself by resisting to play FFXI until breakdancing started.

I was at breakdancing for about 2min before Raph invited me to play Smash with him all tonight, and tried to get me to pick another technology to give up all night, which sounded tempting, yet I told myself it could be done.
- As other individuals asked for my cell number, and I resisted writing out a grocery list on my PDA I fell asleep like a small Amish boy.

Wednesday:
8am and the technology torture continues.
- Remembering that my 10:30 class was canceled I gladly endured the web development class this day, the fun times of learning more about JavaScript in 50min just overwhelms me, to the point in which death seems amusing.
- With my watch missing last week, no cell phone and PDA due to abstinence I was out of luck in finding out the time for the bus and had to rely on other people like clocks. Clocks you say?? why not stay in the building and keep track of time, well my faithful reader, I thought of this of course and the building that is my second home, Showker, has probably one of the worst cases of "Time Flux" on the face of this planet. "Time Flux" is when you study for 3 hours straight and the time keeps changing inside the building yet your time seems normal as if you entered a "Time Flux". There for an accurate time cannot be found, except at random places of the building at random times, so the precision of one clock is null as well. However, lucky to me I knew the lovely Miss Julie at the bus stop and was on time for the bus.
- Went home and had a nap for the first time in probably 3 semesters, I only usually take naps when I am sick. But, I guess there can be exceptions. I don't usually take naps ever, so this was rare, I was very tired.
- Caught the bus back to school, and right to Bio without missing a beat. I usually take this bus on fridays, and see this hot girl on it. This day she found a dead bird and tired to pick it up with a stick, I tried to think of a charming way to help her with it, but chickened out and walked by, curse not having telekinetic powers. Next time Gadget.
- In Bio class I had to ask someone for the date, it was embarrassing, however, funny because that is probably the first time I talked to the person right next to me this semester.
- After class I decided to get some extra study in for my Bio test, I am a man on a mission, an "A" in sight.
- Home I went, to resist more playing and eat some more tuna fish sandwiches before packing up and heading out for the routinely workout and fencing.
- Sticked to my 60's as a happy person and had Jason join Josh and I for the workout. Jason is one of my homies from breakdancing, he is one of our best head spinners. It was an intensive workout before fencing. Curse doing the Arnold workout with 30's and having to hold a blade for 2 hours afterwords...No good.
- At fencing I spent most of the time doing footwork, and was ordered to do it in my free time, which I do now. It would have been great to know during all the free time I had to resist playing games during my abstinence. Home. Sleep.

Thursday:
- Had a lovely lunch with the lovely girls George and Oliva, with the addition of some others Aaron and his friend Kevin. Lunch was fun, exciting, and knowledgeable as usual. I look forward to these bi-weekly learning experiences with them.
- Went onward to Showker to continue my full out study for the Biology exam, a man on a mission, an "A" in sight, 3 hours was spent doing so before class.
- CLASS!!! YES!!! it is over with I am a free man, my cell phone, PDA, and vVvVvVIDEO GAMES are back in use and I did it, proved to myself, men of men, macho to the max, I can resist it, I can accomplish anything, top of the world. Provided my feedback of the assignment in a comedic hour of class time and homebound.
- Got freshened up and all suave for my dinner with the fantastic Beth, which ended up being an interesting night. Because right before the dinner Dreea called me up?!?! Yeah, can you believe it, I can't. Anyways she called during my abstinence and asked me to help her out with her first bar experience which would have to happen this night only because on thursdays in happy hour. My dumbself and I agreed to take her at 7:45, after my 7:00 dinner with Beth, knowing the last dinner I had with Beth lasted 2 hours. Not smart.

As you probably put everything together I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner with Beth like last time and it went on for not 2 but 3 hours. Once we get talking there is no shutting us up, we click so well...or we both just like to talk/listen a lot, hehehe. This made me feel like a Scuba Steve and a victim of my own criticism or what others call a hypocrite, therefore, like dirt for being unreliable. I hate not being reliable, however, I am too nice all the time and should say no or reschedule events so I can better be reliable. I tried to reschedule it for Thursday, but she has barely spoken to me since, and I will probably will have to apologize in person when I take her home next week. Needless to say I had a wonderful night and paid for the dinner like a gentleman. I went home and made sure I got plenty of sleep before my 8am and test the next day.

Friday:
- 8am class what can I say, it is there, and the super can't do it e-mail a hundred times for the answer assignment soon followed with Molly completing it all by herself. I really would like to do it one time, we need to go in on a gift basket for her, she should not have to do it, but the bad part is that we don't know she is doing it until she e-mails us to tell us it is done. Plus, she is hot and I would like to do it for her, because I am a guy and that is what we do; Unexplainably do do things for girls that are hot with hopes of being noticed and whatnot.
- Went to the library and studied from 9:30-1:30 for my Bio exam. I will get an "A"!!!Dagummit!!!
- Took the exam, felt calm, cool, and comfortable, did not know about 6/50. Much better than last time.
- On my way to the bus stop my brother called me and told me he was near JMU, great timing because I needed a ride home and he could go with me home, we call it "team driving". He speeds like usual, and when he sees/gets caught by a cop he calls me. One sided huh?? Naw, it works for me:) I drive slow, it has been a year since my first and only speeding ticket, never again.
- He picked me up, did some "speed packing" (me having patients and him having none). And off to see my Dad for his 50th birthday.
- Came home and saw my Auntie Jackie, Becky, Uncle Ron, Uncle Jeff, Uncle Johnny, and my Mom and Dad. Good times making trips to the grocery store for dinner, which was amazing of course, and taking my halfway drunk brother back to the hotel for check in.
- Yes, my parents got us a hotel since our house was occupied by relatives and good friends. Not a crappy one too, like the one of the best ones, Embassy Suites. It was nice, come on they have a live swan under the water fall built into the elevator. Can't beat it, but what is best of all is the continental breakfast, best ever!!! It is a really nice place, and we got so lucky to be able to stay there near our own house. Did not go to sleep until 4am, my brother bought me a beer at the bar and lied like a mad man to this guy at the bar. I swear I he was a different guy too, I was telling the truth of course and my brother was like some other guy I did not know, through all of the bull crap he was feeding this guy. Oh well, good times.

To be continued...I have a paper due tomorrow.
