I hope you feel better soon. If you decide to take the painkillers or anti-inflamatories or whatever they prescribe you, remember to *keep taking them*, even when you start to feel better. The reason is, the meds act like a blanket over the pain. You know how, when your foot pops out from under the covers and gets cold, it takes awhile to get it warm again? Well, same thing with pain meds. If you keep stopping and starting the meds, the pain will come back and take longer to go away.
If you don't like the medication, you might try this for your muscle ache:
Go to the pharmacy and buy two pint-sized (500ml) bottles of 3% hydrogen peroxide. (It's usually in the first aid section. Make sure it's the 3% and not 30%!).
When you get home, pour a hot bath. Just before you get in the tub, pour in the two bottles. Soak for as long as you can.
See, the reason your muscles ache is because there's a buildup of lactic acid in them. (The body sends lactic acid to the muscles when the muscle is working hard.) The reason the hydrogen peroxide makes it better is (here's some chemistry for you!) this: the hydrogen peroxide is H202. Water, of course, is H20. So in water, the H2O2 releases an oxygen molecule. The oxygen gets into your muscle and (in an acid-base reduction) neutralizes the lactic acid that is built-up in your muscles.
The only side effects I've found is that it dries out my skin a little (I have dry skin anyway), and some people get a little light-headed because of the oxygen (so be careful getting out of the tub!)
But it really does work. And it's cheap. (Cheaper than meds!) :-)
(And no, I'm not a doctor, but two nurses gave me the above advice and it really has helped me!)

OK, enough advice. Hang in there, OK? Praying for you! :-)

Thank you for the advice.
I feel almost 100% better now. I didn't take the painkillers that they gave me because they make me very groggy for the longest time, so I took two and then left them alone.
It just took a couple of days to work the soreness out, I guess.
I'm functioning normal and doing all of my normal routines, including driving (my mom's car. very carefully, haha)
Thanks again!
