Once Upon I Time...

May 11, 2010 11:02

I used to sketch. That was years ago, but I never really committed to it (a small regret) even though I showed promise. Anyway, today, I so happened to have a sketchbook. Mr. Scribbles bought me one; he does these things and says he does 'em to help me out of my writerly stuck-ness, although I suspect he really just likes buying stationary. I'm not kidding. I had to give up my own stationary-buying habits because he has it so much worse, and one stationary addict in the family is really enough. Woo, tangent!

So, I have a sketchbook--and this really cool pencil. Again, Mr. Scribbles bought it. It's one of these REALLY COOL pencils. It's essentially a mechanical pencil, but it uses this huge thick led. And then it has a sharpener (instead of an eraser), with varying sharpness, and basically it has all the goodness of a regular pencil + a mechanical pencil, and woo, tangent #2! [Note to self: should take picture of pencil since Google-Fu can't find it.]

SO! I have a sketchbook and a really cool pencil this morning. And I looked up, saw my bunny figurine.. and... sketched it.

Mr. Bunny, this is you. A little angry. Because obviously you've had too many crumpets and tea. (And not because you've obviously gotten ripped off by a poor sketch.)

I'm just sayin', Mr. Bunny, watch that waistline.

And now, Dear Reader, this has been jnghh. Putzing around. Avoiding her writing.
