Second generation HP fan
When my daughter tried reading Harry Potter a year ago it was still a little advanced for her. But now that she's ten and a half and has conquered the Percy Jackson series 2 times over I figured she was ready to give it another try.
She's gone through the first two books in just over a week, and is already halfway through the 3rd and loving it. :D Yay!
The only problem--after finishing book 2 she said she hoped Harry and Hermione would get married when they grow up. NO! I've spawned a Harry/Hermione shipper!
Hopefully she'll get over it in another book or two--fingers crossed.
(I both rue and lament my current lack of an HP icon)
