New job and new costume in the works!
After more than 3 years of the same crap job I'm finally getting outta there! I start my new job next week and I'm so freakin' excited! I just can't help thinking I'm gonna somehow screw up everything on my first day and the whole place will explode or something -sobs quietly in nervousness- But I'm really looking forward to it! My manager now is kinda upset with my leaving, but screw it! Everyone's jumping ship there and it's not like I made it a secret how displeased with the place I was/am. Now everyone else can deal with the incompetence going on in there; that's probably my main complaint: I'm constantly having to fix other people's mistakes and lack of initiative. I've got enough on my own plate during my shift that I don't need your crap piling on me, too.

I'm also finishing up plans for a new costume! I've still got to finish Tak (hopefully before NekoCon or AUSA, but that's not looking likely) for InvaderCon next year, but I think she's coming along nicely -crosses fingers and hopes she didn't just jinx herself- I've got the material listed for this new one, links for the accesories I need (including a pair of wicked awesome shoes!), and the makeup I plan to use with it. Super excited about that! But Tak needs to be finished first, so once she's done I'll probably start on this new one, or I may opt instead for Red Riding Hood as the most complicated part of that dress is the French seams (time-consuming, but not all that hard). This other one is a Civil War recreation dress and I started going cross-eyed just reading the instructions @_@
