So.. I have this never-ending word document in which I try to explain all the fantastic events surrounding Kangaroo Island,.. but it's taking FOREVER! So.. in the mean time. I figure I'll update you about something else
enjoy:
Saint Pat’s Day; March 17
The Hall put on a nice dinner for St. Pats & everything was green… both food and people! The house committee even hired a band to play some Irish music, but not too many people were keen on dancing. Bernzie, Damion and some others sure got into it though & tried to get people dancing by attempting a river dance… in their socks. Highly amusing as you might imagine.... =)
After a very green evening with the hallies,.. Mette, Anine, Gerry, and myself went to the music room for a bit of a jam. As most of you know (or might guess), my musical abilities are rather limited. Gerry, however, is immensely talented!! He sang us a song he wrote, while playing the guitar, and even managed to simultaneously keep a drum going with his feet! After his impressive one-man act, he tried to teach us a few different things with the instruments. He taught me a simple drum beat/pattern, and I played the drums during one of his songs. I survived,.. but I don’t foresee any band begging me to join their group.
^^ Myself, Anine and Mette on St Pattys day (PS: I was wearing my GREEN pants)
^^ Mette was (and is) determined to teach me how to Waltz.. I'm not too good ;o)
That is all for now... My super-sized Journal entry awaits you. I just hope I can get my International Relations paper done soon.. so I can write that post.. and then travel.. and then update even more.. =)
I received my Mom's care package the other day!.. and I'm currently wearing my warm, fuzzy SLIPPERS from home.. as it's rather cold (believe it or not!) =)
Less than 100 days til I journey home! (no,.. I'm not counting; Mette is though!)
God Bless You!
