books + toast + music like events

I only just woke up, which is kind of late and odd. But oh well, because I don't have anything to do until late tonight. But I feel wicked well rested because I don't often sleep a full nights sleep without disruption. So that rocks.
Oh wait. My toast is done.
Mmm, toast.

I just got back from a very, very long vacation in which I did absolutely nothing. That is not completely true because I did read four books, and they were very good: Memoirs of a Geisha, Sorcery & Cecelia, Tuck Everlasting, Speak, and how i live now. I read books. Yeah.
The place we went to was Treasure Lake in Dubois, Pennsylvania. We had planned to cross-country ski there, but the weather told us otherwise. It was like bla, no way. Meaning there was nothing on the ground but dirt. Hooray global warming!!! So we kind of hung around the condo and drank Vernors, and read books. But this is not completely true because some nights we also watched the Olympics.
Each night I made various attempts to write but I did not have too much success. I have about twenty torn out pages of the same thing, and I also have four pages of something so delicate I don't even want to touch it in case I destroy it.

Tonight the lovely ladies of Chansons are having a dinner party so I'm kind of excited. Yay Chansons! And also we need to grocery shop because we have nothing to eat in the house, and I also need to pick up the book club selection from Barnes and Noble, and I need to start looking at colors for my dress for my stepsister's wedding because I am planning to make it!

Also last night I decided I would indeed learn how to play the piano, and I didn't get very far but I can play the intro to Foolish Games by Jewel. Except my keyboard is just an electronic sound maker and not a fake touch piano, so it sounds like crap because you can't play one part softly and one part forte. It just sucks because it's like the same noise level.
You know what I'm saying.

I have quite a bit of homework left that I haven't touched. Hmm... yeah, I'll stay up all night tonight and do it. Mostly because I want to see if I am capable of pulling an allnighter. I haven't since I was 12.

Cheers
