Last weekend, Isaac and I drove to DC and spent two days sightseeing and hanging out in our capital (and in Virginia).
We grabbed some NERB, and drove down on Thursday night to
stay in the Dunn Loring Marriott.
Friday, we went to the air and space and checked out some cool
planes, antennas, missiles, and space accessories.
Isaac headed off to a wedding, and I went out for dinner with Frank. After dinner, Frank and I concocted some drinks (delicious!) and attempted to get to a mexican bar on K street for tequila, but it was no longer there :-(
Saturday, Isaac and I
Metrod (is that a word?) into DC...and spent the day sightseeing, starting with the Hirshorn. Then we walked around the sculpture garden and
snacked on ice cream, and then
made and played with some
balsa wood planes on the mall.
I insisted we walk up towards the Washington Monument to lay on the marble benches and look at the sky. It was a nice day and we had a grand time!
We drove back Saturday night, and stopped in Baltimore for dinner. Little did we know that the
Volvo Race Around the World was stopping in the Baltimore Harbor, and every restaurant in town had a 2 hour wait. We grabbed some food court food, and headed on back to MA.
