House, art banter, and dolls. (x-posted)
Our house is getting re-painted and my room is next on the bill.
Which meant last night I fucking POWER HORSED through getting my room cleaned of everything. I had so much crap on the floor all over the place it was not fun. My closet now is another issue. Which, by the way, they wanted to knock out and replace it with drawers and an armoir. FUCK THAT NO WAY. There is so much storage space and I made it all work fine. I can't wait till it's painted and I can properly set up my room.
What do you think, mini fridge?
Tehe. But yes, many many MANY apologies to dolltm on FA, I have finally finished the base colouring and will have the background and last details on it definitely by next week. I tried a new thing out and I want to see what you think of the result. I'd love feed back like a critique from anyone on it because I'm really happy with it right now.
I feel like I could really get more energy into drawing if I have something to work towards. And I think I'm having trouble because I'm not getting proper feedback. I get a lot of "Looks great!" Or just "Aww" or thanks or whatever. Which is great and feels wonderful. But... I feel like if I know more what to work on (other than hands lol) and get feed back from trying new things.
Which is another thing... I haven't found a niche because I feel like I lack in one area so I try a different approach or medium. From oil pastel to sketching to computer. I feel like I'm always trying something new, feeling maybe okay about it, then move on.
So if anyone would like to offer critique on any of my work, I'd like to hear it if you don't mind the effort. <3
Once I figure out my finances for the next few months, I'll be able to determine what supplies I need to buy to work on my sculpting skills.
I don't start school until October, so I'm hoping to get a few head sculpts out. I may or may not have pics, but there is something I can show of a previous head sculpt I made for school last year.
I have received one of my dolls! Not the expensive one, though. My next project :3 I may take pics of her later. ^^ Soooo yea. Ada came back! But I don't get my next dolly (he still needs hair and eyes and an outfit ><) until next Friday. :( But he's anthroooo. Well, so is the Junko (Read: Junko is the doll I got today) one too, but I will be turning it into a human. Lol. Goooo figure.
