I always say I make a terrible girl.
I've grown up around men all my life.
On the play grounds, I was the one girl throwing threats.
And tackling the boys in my grade.
I've grown up with Nascar and stock racing.
I miss sitting (even in the stands) and watching cars make 200 laps in an oval.
I have two older brothers.
Though despite being much older than me,
Chased me around, pelted me with things, farted on me
And taught me how to make a fist and use it at age 5.
I was the tall awkward girl, always winning arm wrestling.
I was wrestling practice for my brother.
I played sports until severe asthma shot me down.
I just played touch football for the first time in years.
It was great, and I can't wait to play again. I was surprised I was half descent.
I like fast cars and motorcycles.
It breaks my heart I'll never have the chance to ride a Ducati.
If for no other reason than I am a girl, through and through.
Don't get me wrong, I'll wear a skirt any day.
But that doesn't mean I won't laugh at fart jokes.
Though I'm a lightweight drinker, I won't give up at beer pong.
And I'll try my best to drink any man under the table.
I'm not the strongest, but I know how to throw my body to win.
Like I said, I often make a better man than woman.
But it's times like these
Curled up in the shower crying over boys
That make me a delicate and emotional girl.
