What the fuck is happening with RAW?
I don't know if I'm in a bad mood because of homework, but Raw was really fucking stupid tonight. First, the women's match was really dull, especially for a hardcore match. It seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. Sometimes they just stood around, and then they'd hit a move or two and then stand around some more. It reminded me of last week during the beat down. Half the time, 3MW walked in the ring until they punched some more.
The Test match was ok, but it got kinda dull in the middle. Once again, the wrestlers looked lost out there, going from move to move without any sort of excitement or eagerness.
The Lawler match was a waste of time that had zero wrestling. I didn't really watch the Raven v Jeff Hardy match. Booker T v Lance Storm was ok, but once again, when there were times when an interference by Regal or Goldust could have been used, nothing happened instead.
The HHH v Steiner was the gayest thing I have ever seen (Chuck and Billy included). The buildup to their match has been pretty bad. I thought the arm wrestling contest was funny, but I didn't even bother staying up to see the pose down last week. A bench pressing contest would have been ok just to see how much they weight they could bench press, but it was canceled. The whole point of doing all this stupid shit was to keep Steiner and HHH apart, and that was useless at the end because Steiner beat up on HHH. What happened to contract signings like the one HHH had himself with Austin? Those were mind games. HHH beating up Austin after pretending to sign, the way they tagged each other, Austin picking on Stephanie, HHH picking on JR.... Even Brock and Rock ignored each other out of spite. The same could have been done with HHH and Steiner.
Finally, the main event was terrible. It had everything that I hate about a Royal Rumble: too few people in the ring, sluggishness, and I hate it when the wrestlers slowly try to push people over the top. By the way, what happened to RVD? He used to make people bleed with the Van Daminator, and now he punches and kicks like a pussy.
I guess what made the show even worse was the crowd. They were really quiet for everything except for a few times during the Booker T match. I guess this week there was nothing that I really liked, like a Booker T/Goldust promo, something like that. All the promo time went to Bischoff making rules and Mr. McMahon over ruling them. All in all, very pointless.
