General observation: People in high school are awkward. I feel that I can say that since I've been out of high school for four years. There's a one week program that Brown puts on where they host a bunch of kids from around the country and they "learn" what it's like to be in college. They take "classes" on how to prepare for the SAT, things college admissions counselors look at, etc. My friend Kyle and I were sitting in V-Dubs (the cafe) eating lunch today when this group of high schoolers walked in. To see their individuality expressed through clothing is quite hilarious. While I never encourage people to look a certain way, it's just funny to see some of the oddball shit that people wear. One kid at our table is now known as "safari boy" because he wears khaki shorts and a khaki shirt with a really big wide-brim golf/safari hat. I guess it depends on the day as to what you would wear it to. There's this other kid who wears ridiculous JNCOs and black shirts with ski goggles or at least something that looks like the goggles "Hell Boy" wears. It's pretty damn retarded looking. But just remembering back to high school I remember dressing the way I do now, khaki shorts, a polo or button down shirt and black sandals. And I can't really remember anyone at my school looking as ridiculous as some of the kids I've seen. Maybe fashion with time?
In any event, it's kinda funny to see what the next generation wears.
I got my car washed today. It looks about a trillion times better. The mats are all vacuumed out and the dash is nicely wiped. The wheels are nicely shined and the car just looks hot again. I wish I had brought the stuff from home to do, but I don't have access to a hose or water for that matter.
