Big Yellow School Bus
So I am once again a fully armed and operational student transportation specialist. I passed my road test this afternoon and attended the new drivers orientation already. I filled out all my paperwork and received my licensing bonus (a $100 Holiday gas card). Now the most important thing on my calendar is payday once again. First day of school be-damned. All the routes for the Anoka-Hennepin district had already been chosen by more senior drivers so I will now be driving a Maple Grove Junior High route and an elementary route in the same area. But as I read their schedule, I see more days off than the A/H drivers will get.(For example A/H gets off for Christmas on the 22nd and the MG one gets off on the 20th. And it goes on like that throughout the school year.) So I am not too disappointed to drive down there. Tomorrow I need to go in to familiarize myself with my new bus and do a dry run. This will be the first time I have done my dry run w/o Jennifer along to help me navigate, pretty much since I started driving originally. Wish me luck.
