I don't really care to get into details tonight... so this may be short :)
I read the Picture of Dorian Gray this week... quite a good book. Oscar Wilde is a great writer, though I disagreed when my cousin Sarah told me this a long time ago. My reading list now includes Harry Potter (don't flame me... I've had some friends love it, and some hate it... so I'm now reading the first one to decide for myself), The Catcher and the Rye, and Jane Eyre. I'm getting moreso into the classics, it seems... something I've never really been interested in before now.
I went rafting down the Middle Ocoee on Monday with First Baptist, by far the best rafting trip I've ever attended. I ended up not really talking with anyone in the youth group, but staying around the few adults and a college couple. Band practice that night was a bit exasperating... I wish certain members would know their parts and not forget every week.
Tuesday, did a bit of Spanish (so far I've done over a year of coursework in about a month and half). Then I met up with Jared and Katie, went over Dustin's and stayed for a while. Dustin and Nikkie ended up singing along while I played guitar, which was fun. There was a bit of disagreement as to where we should eat, but, um, yours truly came up with a nice compromise :)
Wednesday... I went to church for the first time in a while. The sound system was a complete mess, so I spent about an hour fixing all that, and hooking up the video stuff. Went out to eat after, quite exciting. Rachel came along... oddly enough. Not certain how that came about, but it was fun having her there.
Today... went with Jason, Nikkie, Dustin, Rachel, and Katie to see some pirate movie where the star resembled a male hooker (make-up and all). It was fairly interesting, but not worth $6.50. After that, stopped by First Baptist for a while to check on sound equipment and drop Jason off, then went to Wedny's to eat before seeing the preview of The Tale of Cymbeline at the Shakespeare Festival tonight. Don't we all feel more intelligent after seeing that? ;) (told you all you'd have no trouble understanding it anyway)
Going to Lifehouse tomorrow... should be fun. Melanie, whom I haven't seen since her graduation party, will be coming too. Hopefully I'll be home by 12... who knows :)
