After working out a little, I believe it to be either my trapezius or latissimus dorsi. I think both of those have connections on the neck. And I notice that when I do pushups, the muscle pops somewhere between my left shoulder and the bottom left of my neck.

Grr... I can't massage this away or anything... And it is distracting me from excercising. It doesn't hurt, it just feels weird. I know its not where it should be. My muscle that is.
