WHAT ARE YOU WEARING
“Spinelli,” she sang answering her phone.
“Maximista?”
“Yes.”
“The Jackal needs to know what you are wearing.”
“Really?”
“Yes really.”
“How about you tell me what you’re wearing.”
“I asked you first.”
“Well,” she paused stopping in front of her mirror, “I was wearing a cap sleeve
fuchsia dress, cut just above the knee, it was fitted at the waist, but.”
He cut her off, “you did say that was what you were wearing; so what are you wearing now?”
“At this very moment I am standing here in a hot pink bra and lace boy shorts.”
He gulped.
This is fun, she thought. “Ooops.”
“Ooops what,” he snapped. “Are you alright? What happened?”
“I’m fine I promised. I just seem to have fallen out.”
“What?”
“You see, when you unhook the front clasp of a bra, you well.”
The line was deathly quiet. He was frozen in disbelief.
She bit her lip contemplating her next move. “That’s better,” she practically sang. “I certainly don’t need those on in the tub.” She heard his breathing get heavy and grinned. It was definitely working. “It’s getting a little chilly in here,” she teased, “I wonder where I put my robe? I can’t seem to find it. Oh that bath is going to be so hot. Maybe I can just make a run for it. No one else is home.”
He let out a slight groan.
She pouted, “you know you are making this very difficult.”
“Excuse me?”
“Well you aren’t playing along.”
Little does she know, he thought. “The Jackal has absolutely no idea what you are referring to.”
“Spinelli,” she said almost agitated.
“I really was just calling to question your attire.”
“Huh?”
“Maximista, I needed to know what you intended on wearing this lovely evening. The Jackal did not want to be over or under dressed for the monumental occasion of a night out with your family unit.”
“Well,” she huffed, “if that’s all you were calling about I set out something for you to wear already.”
“That is greatly appreciated. And I am most sorry for the confusion.”
“No problem,” she paused, “but, hey Jackal. Next time just go along with it.”
“The Grasshopper has much to learn.”
“Just let me be your master with this one, okay?”
