So court yesterday was fucking gay, just like I expected. Although it wasn't jury duty that I went for. Even though in big bold letters at the top of the summons says Jury Duty, I was actually a witness. Remember the entry I wrote back in February about doing my good deed for life by hanging out at the scene of an accident that I saw and told the cop what happened? Yea, thats what it was for. The lady was getting charged with a DUI. So I got there at 8am, the trial didn't start till 9, she pleaded guitly, and I was home by 9:30. Not that bad I guess. When I got home I decided I wanted to get a good breakfast, so I ordered take out from Jimmy's on Philadelphia Pike, and when I got there, I pulled into the parking lot between two state cops who had just pulled in also, and they recognized me from court. Yea, they were there for the same trial I was. I thought that was just weird as shit.
The rest of the day was pretty laid back. After breakfast I went back to sleep until around 1:30 when Rachael called me asking to pick her up from work. Since I was so rudley awakened, I wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep, so I went to the gym and worked out my shoulders for the first time in like a month, and wouldn't you know, I think I hurt it again. Well I know it hurts, but I'm not sure why exactly. After the gym I picked up Rachael and we went to Panera because I like their food. From there it was back home where I did nothing until I went to bed around midnight.
Today I woke up at 7:30 and went into work at 9 expecting a long, boring, gay day. When I got there I had like a hundred emails I had to sort through because this was the first time I had worked since Wednesday. Then at 10, I find out that Mike, Josh and I are going to go to the Warrinton store to help them set up, and we have to stop at the Whitman store to get some other people. So Mike and Josh take the Penske truck because we have to take that cheap shitty sign that we bought up to the new store. Which I had to secure into the truck. Now I never claimed to be a boyscout, so needless to say, my job of knot tying and securing was pretty ridiculous. I took Josh's car to Whitman, and when they opened the truck Mike said it looked like Spiderman had secured the sign because the twine was everywhere. Also when we got to the store, we find out that Josh isn't allowed to go, so he headed back to Wilmington and Mike and I took the truck to Warrington and no one from Whitman came. I had never driven the truck before, but believe me, it is friggin awesome. It reminds me of Twisted Metal, I felt so invincible in it!! I was driving over medians and cutting cars off like crazy. Mike and I also didn't feel like paying any of the tolls, so we ran a total of 6 of them. I think thats somewhere around $175 in fines someone is going to have to pay for that sure as hell isn't me. Anyway, we get to the store, and its just about finished, so Mike and I drop the sign off and leave. Neither of us really know where we're going though. We both figured if we stayed on the PA turn pike it would lead you to 95. It doesn't. It infact leads you to the NJ turnpike. Which, you guessed it, is in New Jersey. So we drove way out of the way, and what should have been a 45 minute ride, turned into two hours. Fine by me though, I got paid for all of it, and I didn't have to pay for gas for the truck. Once we finally got back to Wilmington it was boring as hell, but I only had to stay there for another 2 and a half hours.
After I got off work I went to the gym again and worked out my massive chest. Its just so massive, its unbelievable. From there, I headed down to Newark to hang out with Amanda. We watched the Family Guy movie. It was funny, don't get me wrong, but I was a little dissappointed. For as much hype as it got, it wasn't everything I expected. When the movie was over we just hung out for a little while, mostly I laid on her bed while she finished up some school work. I finally left there around 12ish, and I am now here. In my bed, which is much larger than Amanda's. And more comfortable too.
