Recently I've remembered why I took the job at the Dog in the first place. There's only so much television you can watch before you feel as if your brain is about to slide out your ears. I've been taking Steve for a lot of walks because I'm so bored and because I don't think it's a good idea for him to be at the shop with Terry. At least not ( Read more... )

Ernie would never forgive me if I came to work for you, darling. Besides, Tubby said I could come back any time I like. But I'd probably have to wrestle Winston to get my job back.

To be honest, I think I'm done with working in pubs. I need to think about some sort of responsible adult job.

Ernie's easy to handle. Well, maybe not so much now what with Barbara and all.

My father worked very hard and I think somehow that rubbed off on me. Poor old thing, he's probably rolling over in his grave now that I've said he was a good influence on me.

Of course I eat it in bed, otherwise it'd be a pre-bedtime snack. And there are no crumbs -- it's yoghurt.
