What if you don't even creep on me?
I couldn't stand to think you wouldn't. Assuming you do I cannot say anything about how I feel.
The garage is quickly turning into a very simple project. We repaired the ceiling/ second story floor mostly. The big part is done now. We raised the rotted beams with a rig I made up to use with the truck jack and then installed new 2x6 joists. I think more of the floor is lost than we removed, but we can't pull it all yet. We will be ordering sheet metal this week, and focus on that.
The rotted wood is something else to deal with.I like the idea of replacing individual boards in the whole structure. Now most of the time there will be no load. With the floor there were issues with a load. There was actually enough weight on the joists that on failure that they bowed and even with the load removed they remained curved. We had to use two jacks to lift and level the floor.
It wasn't much for a days work, but it is a nice accomplishment.
