I FINISHED MY COSTUME!!!!! *is ded*
Once again, my final hours before bed were spent drilling grommets, though this time it was through BELTS, instead of just fabric. >.< I'm getting really good at making the right size holes.
Oh, man, what an experience it's been getting ready for this convention. I've never made anything so complicated as this costume and I've learned sooooo many things in the process; stitches, layers, boning, linings, French hems, what fabric combination I absolutely frickin' DO NOT WANT to work with again (chiffon and tulle? Oh HELL no). So, yeah, it's been up and down and sideways all over the place.
And now it's 11:30 pm and I need to get up early to take care of my laundry and take a shower before Joel gets here to bring me to Portland so I can catch my flight out at noon.
I'll be reporting in at some point with a huge journal early or three, for Afest is a 4 day event. ^.^ With six costumes (two for each character, one hand made, one off-the-rack casual clothes) andwho knows what else... it'll be crazy. I hope crazy-fun and not crazy-spazz. 8D
