Athena? Or Delilah?

We adopted a new kitten. I wanted an older cat, but the couple of cats we met had some issues that made me think they weren't quite right for our family, and when we were looking at one of them, we played with the kittens staying at the same cattery, and Austin of course fell in love with two: a black male and a brown and white tabby female. But he didn't want to bring them both home.

We ended up with the female, who looks a lot like Icarus. I won't lie, that was a big part of why I agreed on her, even as young as she is. We are still deciding on a name. It was DeeDee, but I want something a little more "intellectual". I left DaVinci's name alone because I couldn't really decide on anything better, and he'd been using it for so long anyhow. But Icarus got his name because he followed me home, and I'm thinking either Athena, because it's also Greek and she kinda reminds me of a little barn owl with her gold eyes (Athena is associated with owls), or Delilah, as a more grown-up version of DeeDee. I already told the vet her name is Athena, but Austin likes Delilah... so I donno. It might change.

She is totally gorgeous too. Her markings are more like a clouded leopard than a regular tabby cat. I haven't introduced her to the dogs yet, but I'm thinking maybe tonight or tomorrow.
