Interesting morning.
I am blind as a bat without glasses. Ask anyone. My hand becomes blurry about six inches away from my face. I would not recognize my own mother from across the room.
Get the picture? Can’t see a THING.
I usually wear glasses because although I prefer contacts, I have a really, really bad habit about not taking them out. And I mean, I have gone a month or more without taking them out. I KNOW it’s bad, but I go to bed and forget and then I wake up and headdesk a bit, although it is nice to be able to see the clock in the middle of the night.
I have been wearing contacts for the last little bit, and I always think Okay! I’m going to take them out! but then I get distracted by the pretty shineys and there goes another day in contacts.
Last night I went into the bathroom, going OKAY! I am really going to take them out this time! And I get the box out where I keep my contact stuff and there is the contact case and..no solution.
…*blink*
Where’s my contact solution?
…I shall keeeeeeel my mother.
So I rummage around for it, can’t find it, go to bed with contacts still in.
This morning I ask Mum where the solution is.
”In the closet.”
Thank you, Mum, you are sooooo helpful..
Cue more rummaging. I finally find it. Take them out.
The instant I take them out I realize that I don’t know where my glasses are.
….oh draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
Let me say again how much I cannot see. This is going to be oh so much fun - especially since I am used to being able to see perfectly all the time.
I did, eventually, find them. But it took awhile.
