:) Reservations in NYC are confirmed for after the Green Day show. Dinner and matinee plans are tentative; I'd like to see Kinky Boots as a matinee and then meet E in Brooklyn for dinner, but that's still TBD.
~ Reminder to self: singing along to songs like "Kill the DJ" and "Glory Hallelujah" while at the office -- even after regular business hours -- is a bad idea.
- I got a mailer from Merritt Athletic club: they are looking for 50 volunteers for a study. The requirements are for people who are not currently exercising for participation in a 21 day program. It's marketing with the hope of getting study participants hooked on their facility...but why assume that someone doesn't exercise just because they don't have a membership at your gym? Especially when there are four closer gyms, including one in the same chain? Marketing fail.
:( Oh,
Daveeed.
~ I have a homemade peanut butter egg from Hart's Church. Because that's just what every balanced diet needs?
- Mom's feelings were pretty hurt that my brother and his wife could not be bothered to come over for Easter dinner. In their defense, they are busy with dog competitions and have been on the road for the last four weekends. They'll be on the road for the next four weekends, and this was their weekend off. It's a two hour drive each way from their house to Mom's. I...don't really know what to say to Mom. It's hard, though, because she takes holiday get togethers seriously, and they don't. [Look, I don't care about Easter. Well, I do appreciate the chocolate but the day has no religious significance for me. But I go because it matters to Mom. That's it; otherwise it's just another Sunday.]
