Last week, today, and coming sooner or later
+ I've posted a very short summary and a few photos of my trip to Indian Wells over at WordPress.
~ The big boss at my old job emailed me out of the blue today, asking how the new job was going. I like it; I'm learning new things; some days I feel slow and stupid, but I'm getting good feedback from my new colleagues and boss, so I'm content. Old boss and I were never social and he wasn't even talking to me or looking at me if we passed in the hall after I gave notice, so I'm not sure what that's about.
+ The new Brockmann book arrived today, along with the short story freebie (Robin & Jules) that came as part of her pre-order. I may perhaps have ordered the book through her virtual signing in order to get the short...and it was totally worth it. R&J are my favorite of her couples; I don't really care much to see the ever after for most rom couples, but I do like reading about them.
~ I pre-ordered five books today, with varying drop dates from April to November. The new Corinne Solomon book from Ann Aguirre, that idiot Ivan's book (November!), Gunmetal Magic from Ilona Andrews, and two La Nora books (one despite my better judgment, since I didn't care for the first book of the series). Buying that many books isn't a huge deal (am a little embarrassed to admit that), but the fact that they are all in paper is a big deal, since less than 25% of my fiction purchases are in paper any longer.
+ I'm going to see asimplechord this weekend, which makes me all \o/
