"What are you laughing at?"

Aug 19, 2007 21:48

I tend to find the most random things funny. I can't explain why they're funny, and nobody else ever thinks they're funny, so I just try to stifle my laughter at them when other people are around.

Usually the random things I find funny are letters or words taken out of context. I might encounter the letter Q or the word "snake" or something and just burst into uncontrollable laughter. The more I think of the funny letter/word, the harder it is for me to keep myself from laughing. I usually try to stop thinking about it so as not to be seen laughing for no reason, but it usually doesn't work very well.

If I just randomly start laughing for apparently no reason, this is often why. I have been told many times that it's socially unacceptable to laugh and not tell the person you're talking to what you're laughing about, but really, I have no way of explaining this, so I just try to stifle my laughter.

Do you guys ever experience anything like this, or am I just crazy?
