A PSA to everyone I know:
If an ex is calling you an average of 100 times a day, calling your parents and begging them to tell you to call them, threatening to call the cops on anyone that tries to keep you away from them, showing up at your house in the middle of the night, and just generally doing things that scare you, PLEASE do everything in your power to legally keep them away from you & your family. Don't pity them. Its not your fault that this person is this way. Don't NOT file a restraining order or NOT change your phone number because the ex is "getting better" and "not calling as much". Don't be embarassed to ask for help from the police-you cannot handle this on your own. Put your safety first. The person who truly loves you should not scare you!
getting off my soapbox now. Wishing that the friend I said this to would get the help she needs, because her ex is getting to the point where I'm afraid he's going to do something drastic.
