that and this

I'm developing this tendency to play with idioms. Last month, I titled one of my entries "Pieces and Bits". I wonder if that would sound any less weird if the invention of that word combo was that way instead.

I only received two comments on here during the month of February. I don't worry about comment totals the way I used to, but I need to start thinking of interestinger things to write about. I like to think if I can't be interesting, I can be humorous. Maybe I should hate to think that way instead.

Meetup.com is working better than I thought. I went to a fellow Aspergian's house and it was literally an old-school event. Each of us presented something for show and tell, and I showed off one of my Scrabble shirts (the one I wore that day), because I couldn't think of anything else. Someone else brought in a piano improv tape, and it was rather calming. Snacky stuff was available, and I stayed for nearly three hours. I can't remember the rest of the showing and telling.

Still no Scrabble tournaments planned this month. Other than a decent prize in Albany ($320), prize money has been virtually non existent for me since early October. Granted, the money to be won isn't life changing, but it's caused me to cut down a bit on my travels. Fortunately, budgeting is one of my few specialties. The BAT will only cost me the entry and commuter fees, and then I'm probably off until Memorial Day weekend.

Amazing Scrabble stat of the day: Ian Weinstein defeated me in Charlotte on February 19th, 2012. No, that itself is not the amazing stat, but that was the first time I lost to a player rated above me since......April 10, 2011! Adam Logan did it then, thanks to my worst blunder of the year.

My car still has the faint smell of skunk after running over one more than two weeks ago, but it's tolerable.

That's all I have right now. Maybe I should have named this entry "Those and These".
