This was wonderful!!! The whole idea of lex wanting to do it on his own for clark and wanting everything to be perfect was really sweet. And when Clark saved the day by revealing himself and lex could finally see what that meant. It was all perfect. This story really made me smile. What a lovely present!

Thank you so much. I can just see Lex moving heaven and earth to make things perfect for his loved one - and food is the surest way to Clark's heart.

*squees* This was PERFECT, hon! *dances*

I love the two of them already together and Lex moving heaven and earth to get the Christmas dinner cooked! Mmm, yes, his farmboy loves his food! ;) What a yummy menu! And, of course, PIE! ;)

Their agreement was pretty interesting, and worked well for the final scene in which Clark reveals his heat vision, letting Lex know that things had changed.

*squees again*

What a wonderful story! Definitely one of my Clexian favorites! *beams* :)

*beams back!*

My sister and I were discussing story ideas and we remembered a few incidents out of our family's past that were pretty funny (Lex's lines in the first part are courtesy of my nephew, while the upside down turkey is all me.) So that formed the shell of the story, and I then tried to figure out how it played into the bigger story of Clex's relationship. So glad you enjoyed it!

This is so beautifully, brilliantly Lex. I love that he wanted to make Clark a holiday dinner, and his reaction to the giblets was hysterical. I felt so sad that he didn't believe his relationship with Clark could last, but given the amount of talking they didn't do, I could understand it.

Luckily, Lex's brilliance came through, and he figured out that Clark wasn't actually hiding anymore. That was such a marvelous scene in the story, when he finally realized that and his world changed.

What a wonderful gift this story was.

Lex's reactions to the giblets are courtesy of my nephew, whose first turkey dinner led to Lex's lines in the first part of the story (the upside down turkey is all me.) So glad you enjoyed!

That was lovely, all the effort Lex went to even as he thought it would be the only time and then to have it all work out right in the end. :-D

Thank you. I figure Lex would go into the relationship feeling he was doomed and wouldn't notice that Clark was trying to change the status quo until the evidence was literally staring him in the face.
