I was really mad at the Kents, particularly at Martha, after what she did to Clark wrt to his redK marriage. I'm glad your Clark didn't get over that so easily. I hope Martha had to work really hard to make up for her mistake.
This is a great fic! I'm glad you are posting again. (Lovely title and pic too!)

Clark had a right to be angry at the Kents for not listening to what he felt about Alicia - the end of Unsafe still makes me want to yell at Martha. And I don't see that disappearing any time soon given what happened in Pariah.

“That’s what you get for skipping the ‘falling down’ phase of your lessons - you don’t know the ‘getting back up’ trick. Watch how I do it.”
Haha, that's me. I've perfected the recovering from wiping out over the years, although falling on ice instead of snow is never easy to recover from. Ouch. And those snowboarders, grrrr they're always causing chaos.
I thought you captured Chloe's thoughts and reactions perfectly. Especially when assessing Clark and his resistence to the elements and then covering for his supersave to instead of going with her instinct to demand answers. Spot on with how she was around him back then.

I had a similar experience to Chloe on the Burnt Stew Trail, but alas Clark Kent wasn't there to save me from the fall. We never could figure how that one ski wound up vertically in the snow. I hate the way the boarders can chew up a trail if they lean too heavily on the edge.
