Another update in just a few weeks! I'm on a roll. :)
So I guess I will start with a crackpot theory I have been throwing around in my brain lately. I believe the IPod is probably a huge drawback to bums. Here is the real theory. Bums rely on a large amount on guilt, a small amount on generosity, and a small amount on harassment in order to get the money. Well if you can't hear the begging due to IPod, then it tends to prevent the guilt. I guess the area I live in has a large amount of bums. Even more so I take the Muni system every day, and a large amount of bums gather there as well. It seems when I wear my IPod that I do not have any guilt while moving around town. Anyway its just a theory.
I am so loving my new apartment. It has been so long since I had a place to myself, that I forgot how nice it is at times. Don't get me wrong, my old roommate was a great guy, but it sure is nice to come home to have a place to myself. In addition, I like living up in the city so far. I need to explore the area more, and start spreading out throughout the city. If you know anything about SF, feel free to give me suggestions of places to visit. Heck I might even go out to a bar now and then, which if you know me is not something I do normally. I am actually feeling a lot more confident about myself right now for some reason. It's kinda strange. I am usually so down about life and such.
Ok, I haven't posted a rant on here in ages. I guess I should just for old times sake. :) So as most of you know Joe Lieberman got beat in the Democratic primary. He is now running as an independent. Currently the Democratic party is talking that he should drop out of the race for the seat so that "he doesn't help the Republicans win". I really despise these statements, and it comes from both parties. Both parties make it out to sound like you are wasting your vote if you vote for anything but them. They also act like the third parties are always interfering with "their votes". Sadly it is statements and beliefs like those that prevent us from having an effective third option. I hope people start seeing past the rhetoric though, and give a good look at independent candidates, just as they would the "big 2". That said, I don't care if Lieberman wins or not. Its the principle of the matter that bugs me.
