bone, the arrival, and killer chins

John Klima, maestro of the wonderful zine Electric Velocipede, declared his independence from social media for the month of July so that he could focus on real world work and spend some time with his family. (I almost wrote "putting food on his family.") However, rather than let the EV blog lie fallow, he decided to invite a whole mess of guest bloggers to contribute entries over the month, prompting them with various interview questions (although Jeff Ford went one better with an amazing original story called "Baby Hand").

My contribution went up today (although it's already yesterday in Singapore, stupid international date-line), in which I talk about the guilty pleasure of Jeff Smith's Bone graphic novel series, the elegant graphic design of Shaun Tan's The Arrival, and Bruce Campbell's killer chin. Go give it a read, and if you feel like commenting, feel free to do it over at the EV Blog entry.
