I've never met Vera Nazarian (norilana) in person, but we've exchanged emails, and I reviewed her book Dreams of the Compass Rose here at the blog a couple years ago. She's an incredibly nice and generous person, and a unique writer; no one else writes quite like she does, and that's what we as writers are always striving for, that originality of style.
Vera's had a truly shitty run of financial luck in the past several years, and it has led to over $11,000 in debt. If she's not able to pay back payments on her mortgage by December 20th, she's going to lose her house.
