blog-every-day-this-week week: b&j free cone day

Apr 28, 2008 20:46

Taking a cue from 2muchexposition, I will be blogging every day this week. Nothing big, nothing profound, just a series of short entries to see if I can do it. With the amount of test and assignment marking I have to do over the next couple of weeks, this will indeed be a challenge. Tune in daily to see if I can keep it up, or if I royally fall on my face!

Unfortunately, they do use low-fat milk in their ice cream, and thus, I hate them.

Why? Are you more of a whole milk person?

low fat milk--or rather the protein put back into reduced-fat milk to make it not watery and blue--triggers MSG allergies.

Ah, I didn't realize. That sucks.

I generally try to stay away from cow milk anyway and stick with soy (or rice, or oat), but for me, having it once a year is okay.

Glad to here you will be blogging more, at least for this week. I have been wondering how you are doing. Hope all is well.

Thanks, Corey. All is well, it's just that the teaching job has been keeping me insanely busy, so I haven't been able to blog as much. I also wanted to write about something other than my fiction being published, because even I get bored with that after a while.

Well if you're looking for suggestions of things to blog about, I rather enjoyed your "singapore observations" series and don't think I've seen one in a while. They were cool and interesting...

Duly noted, Yeff, and thanks! I'll try to devote at least one entry this week to Singapore observations.

Cool! I look forward to them.

And, you might already know this, but Ellen Datlow and Nick Mamatas are putting together an anthology of retold ghost stories and will take some unsolicited submissions! They really want traditional ghost stories from non-US/UK cultures. Your Singapore experiences might give you some good background.

Here's the post on Nick's LJ: http://nihilistic-kid.livejournal.com/1098831.html

Hey, thanks for the head's up, Yeff! I've hardly read my f-list the last few weeks, so I may have missed this otherwise.

The ghost story genre is the most popular type of fiction here in Singapore, so I'm guessing I'll be able to come up with something.
