Accomplished quite a bit yesterday. Went to the GP and got a medical exam; I was prepared for a comprehensive physical of the kind that I'd gotten before in the States, including the turn-your-head-and-cough hernia test, but I thankfully got to keep my junk in my pants as all he did was listen to my heart and lungs, feel my abdomen, and then take ( Read more... )

Good thing they make it such an enormous pain to immigrate, or we'd all be over there in a jiffy.

Heh. I just finished my medical exam for the US. $ 330.00 so far with a possible $ 200.00 more for possible vaccinations that I won't find out about until after my blood test results on Friday.

Heh, no. I wish. I'm applying for my Green Card. I've been in the US on 8 years on work visas and NOW they want all the medical tests and up-to-date vaccinations. :p

I'll try the tea tree oil remedy. Hopefully it won't make my boobs grow. Cause, you know, that's not really something I need right now.

I have no cheap advice to give. I'm a woman. What the hell do I know about a goat?

I DO have an opinion, however, on the incredibly great prices of Singapore health care: Jesus! I wish I could get me some of that! Freakin' A.

Durian scented aftershave?

But seriously, here's what to do. (I am well versed in shaving, er "sensative" skin.) After you shave, soak a cotton ball in witchhazel and douse your face. Witchazel will work for any "red, itchy, dreadful" areas. Then put lotiony stuff on for dryness - I recommend some kind of cocoa butter, aloe, or vitimin E.

I hadn't thought about witchazel, but I'll have to try that. Thanks, Adrienne.
