how to answer?

Assuming that the church travel office has actually managed to get me a visa I have 11 days left until I leave for Sao Paulo. Consequently I've been bombarded with questions like "are you excited" or "are you nervous" or "are you jumping up and down hardly able to contain yourself while peeing your pants with nervous excitement" and so on and so forth... Frankly I don’t know how to answer these questions. Given the excitement of the one doing the asking I feel I should say yes at the very least. But I’m not excited. I'm not nervous. And it doesn’t feel like I’m getting ready for the first day of school. I guess I’m more just ready to get on with it and get to work. It feels like I’m watching life go by passively - like watching TV and not really feeling anything at all. I’m ready to be the star of my very own metaphorical religious sitcom…
On a more humorous note, a family knocked on the door today and the guy asked if he could share a passage from the bible. Titus or something I forget. I turned him away thinking that he was slightly annoying. Of course then it freaking hit me that he was me! Let me tell you that is an odd feeling to say the least. I’m glad I didn’t slam the door in his face. Hopefully when I become that annoying guy at the door others are kind in turn! :p
