Bought this book at the airport. I hate buying books but I totally forgot to pack one. I packed in the morning before school and there was too much going on at once. Therefore, I got stuck spending money on a FULL PRICE book, no less. Luckily, I really liked it.
It's about 2 girls who become friends when they're teenagers and it follows their friendship over the decades. Blurb on the back mentions that one of them betrays the other at some point.
I don't know that the writing was spectacular, but I thought the story moved along well. I bought into the time progression easily through little dropped hints like the names of famous hairstyles, music, world events, etc.
Worth the read. I'm going to look up the author and see if I like anything else she's written.
