Book Fair - OUT!
Totally excited that the book fair is done and gone. Ok, well not gone, but done. And packed. And out of my life for several more months. I enjoy seeing the parents (mostly) but in general the whole things just brings out bad evilness and makes me angry.
5 For Friday - Actual things that happened at the book fair this week
1 - An adult asked me if I could "just cover it" when he was a couple dollars short. An adult. Not a kid.
2 - A mother lectured me about the evils and devils of Pokemon and how I shouldn't sell Pokemon things because, well, it's evil and the devil.
3 - After 7pm (when closing was at 7) two moms kept gabbing ... when the dad said "Hey, let's get out of here so Mrs. Awesome Library Teacher can go home" the mom said, "oh she won't mind if we stay and talk."
4 - A kid chose to go home with all his money rather than buy a book when I said, "No, you can't buy 5 pencils if you don't buy a book first."
5 - Several hundred kids were happy and pleased with the books (and junk) that they bought. :) That's a good one to round out the 5!!!!
