Quick look of the difference from 2006 and 2013 because of Facebook.
It's been...a while since I or ANYONE has posted here. I forget that this was here, but then again, I guess I didn't. Time flies and things change. How quickly people abandoned this for when Facebook came on the scene. Facebook simplified entering postings and in all reality, dumbed it down. One font, minimal creativity involved, and a lot of behind the scenes stuff that the end user never saw.
For most people that is fine, for me, it's a sign of our times, that people just want simple and want things done for them. Don't think about programming or formatting text. Why is that HTML tab there? People still use that? Can't the program just do it for you?
I like the formatting. I makes people think about what they write and post IMHO.
But that's just me. And based on how popular Facebook is, I'm in the minority about what I like here. I guess we will all have to get used to mindless postings or repostings. Oops, we already did.
