He looked so earnest doing it; she couldn’t help but smile, and felt some of her weariness lift as he smiled in return.
He's going to be such a good dad.
“Ruby, you’re hurt. I don’t think they’ll think it rude,” he whispered as they heard Rose come back into the small room.
It's not like she'd be parading into the room and staging a recital of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at them.
“It’s a mix of various herbs from around the world...”

All she had to do was stand under the water pouring from the shower head, taking care to keep her head from getting wet, and enjoy being taken care of.
