I have to admit I was a smidge worried before when you alluded to them being more distant than before that you meant relationship-wise rather than distance-wise.

There *have* been times when that distance has been relationship-wise-but those times are well past.

I’d imagine he’ll have some interesting advice for her when she’s a teenager, that’s for sure.

Martin will most assuredly *not* be afraid to tell it like it is.

Is that because she’s Rose Tyler, Vitex Heiress, or because he wouldn’t expect anyone who likely knows all his dirty laundry but has no blood obligation to treat him that nicely?

A bit of both.

Because the coiffure of an eight-year-old quasi-tomboy is so very intricate. *snerk*

It’s true! ;)

I see what you did there.

It had to be done.

At least Lucy’s not sitting there plonking away on a Game Boy.

That would *not* be well-received by either her mum or her da.

Hey, look, an opinion I share with Martin. I already owned proper albums by the time I was her age.

As did I. Peter and Rose are utter failures when it comes to music ;)

If it’s just jumbled in to one of the twelve kajillion activities a boarding school would throw at its students to keep them from getting into too much trouble, I can’t imagine it would necessarily have been mentioned. They probably don’t have a proper choir for girls her age.

I think they’re forced to sing at assembly, or some such nonsense.

Yay, I’m glad that went well. There have likely been a few times Martin’s been borderline obnoxious or crabby on their visits, so to see him not just on his best behavior but genuinely doing well must be a huge relief to Peter.

Things haven’t always been smooth-but Peter is definitely relieved (and happy) that Martin is doing so well.
