It had been a week since she’d had more than a half-hour with her husband; and it appeared that he’d not even have a weekend day off from the case.
Is it usualy for him to have to work every day until he solves a case? Or does PEter choose to go after the case that doggedly?

if someone was going to go to the trouble to break in, she had serious doubts that the first place they’d go would be the en-suite
*snort* Probably true. Unless it's an especially incontinent burglar. Or the security system scared him that much.

It appeared Peter was home, after all-and that he’d stripped as he crossed the room.
*whistles* Peter strip tease!

She noted he needed to shave again
Mmm... scruff.

It was, fortunately, clear of anything at the moment,
Courtesy of the Peter strip tease. Shame she wasn't awake to see it.

Rose smiled as it occurred to her that Peter was rather like a cat at that moment, tilting his head so she would stroke a different part of his hair, and she had a brief image of Peter purring. That's actually quite a good image. He can ( ... )

He's starting to sound like a semi-comatose patient here, with all the hand-squeezing. Is it just the tiredness, or is it something deeper?

I'd be willing to bet he's getting a bit hypothermic; also, if he was already fully asleep, that'd make him sluggish as well. Not to mention coming down off an adrenalin rush.

Doesn't she need to go to work?

No: "It had been a week since she’d had more than a half-hour with her husband; and it appeared that he’d not even have a weekend day off from the case."

The needs of the case dictate much of Peter’s schedule-but I think it’s Peter (and Elias’s) desire for justice on this one that have made them work so doggedly.

Unless it's an especially incontinent burglar. Or the security system scared him that much.

BWAH!

True that. But I think she’s seen it more than a few times ;)

It’s the exhaustion, and nothing more. Peter’s been getting a couple of hours sleep a night, maximum, for a week, and now that the case is solved he can finally indulge in his body’s demands for a proper, deep, sleep.

Does Peter often find himself in physical altercations. I mean, I know he's a police officer, but he looks like a good strond wind might blow him away at times. I ( ... )

Peter looks like he’d be a lightweight, too-but remember, he swims far more often than I’ve ever written in the stories, and he learned how to take care of himself growing up in Paisley.

I would think simply hitting Peter hurts a hell of a lot more than people would anticipate being the case. The man's pure bone and muscle.

Plus, he has Elias to back him up, and Elias knows all *sorts* of sneaky tricks.

I know these are Ten, but I totally picture this series of faces the first time Elias does something really cool:

Oh yes. He's not musclebound, but there's very little give to Peter.

I totally picture this series of faces the first time Elias does something really cool:

Peter: How'd ye do that?
Elias: Later Peter. Perhaps after we've restrained the suspect?
